Free Tower Lookout in Tokyo wit Erina
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building
Some info from WiKi: Located in Shinjuku, it held the title of the tallest building (by roof height) in Tokyo, at 243 meters (799 feet),[1] from 1991 to late 2006, when it surrendered its title upon the completion of Midtown Tower. The two panoramic observation decksCaught up with Erina. A friend i met in Perth through another friend. Thought I say hello while I was in Tokyo and have dinner together. I asked her can we go see the free Tokyo tower. She had never been so we headed down there :D
Really nice view! would of loved to continue on the night with her but some people have to work ;(
Emiko & Mayuko take me to Temple P2
Mayuki’s adorable friends Misato and Mayuko took me to temple. We got bored quickly after a quick lunch in Akihabara district ;)
We travelled to Harajuku district because I hoped to catch the crazy fashion of the district.
They walked me through some of the basic of visiting a temple. One was to never walk in the middle of the gates as your enter because that is the path of the gods.
I believe many Japanese people visit this temple on new year’s day to ask for there good fortune wishes.
Mayuko explained how to cleanse my mouth and hands before entering temple to pray. Each temple has different praying styles.
I think this I threw the coin to the collection box. Clap 3 times and bow three times.
Was a really lucky day to spend some time with the local girls, a quick run down of Tokyo. Thanks Mayuki you have some really cool friends.
I had met Emiko previously in Perth.
Streetz of Tokyo
I am in love with these jam and cream filled pancakes...I lived of these for 10 days LOL
I had no time to stop for lunch on most days, just loving it and moving fast.
I had a bag stuffed with little cakes I would eat while i walk or sit on a train :)
Japan's cool police officers.
Tokyo Station. This is nothing compared to the 30+ lines they have and about 15min to walk from one side of the station to the other :)
Got completely lost walking to my hotel @ 1am.
Walked through some dodgy districts haha.
Got offered some hookers on the way to the lost hotel.
Tokyo Park in Winter
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden - Walked through this garden early in the morning after I got my green tea latte and my dose of free WiFi @ the cafe.
Don’t think it is the prettiest in winter, very barren but a nice stroll.
From within the garden you can see the urban sky scrapers of Shinjuku.
I saw alot of Japanese photographers. They seemed to be doing macro shots of flowers.
I walked around the park approx. 1.5hrs to return to a group of people still shooting the same flower @_@
I was seriously confused how can it take over a couple hours to shoot some little Sakura blossums.
