Busan Tour Bus P1

The tour bus map!
I really can't remember much of the details but it was good to sit down and just go around in a comfy bus.
There are two lines. One was full so we took the other :)
Both start at the Busan train station. Where you take the KTX from.

Busan City tour guide! 10,000W

Because it was Saturday I believe the buses and tourist things were more busy and lots of kids around.
Cute kids of course. Not crying or anything :)

Busan Shoppin & INdoor Ice Ring

Went around a shopping centre with EJ in Busan. PLayed around with the Galaxy tab?
Went and had a look at the indoor ice ring...OMG crazy in the middle of the food court is an ice ring.
My friend said its a smaller one than usual :)

Lookin for a nice souvenir...pretty pricey in the department store

Lots and lots of shopping

Wanted a mouse for my travel laptop :)

Ice ring!

Busan Station -> JR Ferry

Busan Station photos from where we arrived via the KTX. Really cheap and convenient to get from Seoul to Busan.
I went to the Busan Ferry port about 5minutes by taxi from Busan station...Here I spent ages trying to sort out a ticket from Busan to Fukuoka. What a mission.
No one wanted to really help @_@

What I noticed is that you should book your ticket before 3 days! Online.

On the Japanese site there were seats available. But according to the Korean's they were all full!!!!!!!!!LIES!!!
I eventually found someone that called up the Jap people and saw there was space!
Skipping a head in time the ferry i took was EMPTY! maybe 30% full...

Enough room to fit another 50 people.
Korea runs the Kobee Ferry (info can be found here http://www.visitkorea.or.kr) while Japan runs the JR Bettle Ferry http://www.jrbeetle.co.jp/english/. I took the beetle.
From this port you can also take a boat to Osaka and other Japan cities. Does take a long long time though.

This boat is the Camellia www.koreaferry.co.kr/
Yet the Korean's kept telling me the boat was full @_@
Took the Busan tour bus around the island. Quickest way to check out what is interesting :)

Lunch in Famous Bulgogi Restaurant

This was a highly recommended restaurant. I give it 7/10 on my Korean trip...
Cooking on the coals was really cool! The sides were average though :( Meat had a lot more fat.
But still very lean.
My Last lunch with EJ before i depart on my solo adventure to Japan!
She had looked after me best she can.
She worked everyday so I had to fend for myself in the streets of Korea.
But she popped into Busan with me for the day!
We caught up for lunch on most days and dinner when she wasn't tutoring.
Busy girl, my noona.

Street Shop Deserts!

After dinner in Busan we had waffles.
They put honey/syrup and cream.  I didn't like the cream though @_@

EJ found this super cool travel pack for contacts.  Its so cool :)
I also found Totoro in Korea!

Busan Jokbal & Ohyangjangyuk

A famous Busan dish. It is local to Busan.
Ohyangjangyuk a dish of thin sliced pork mixed with a sauce made from garlic, soy sauce, starch syrup, sugar and vinegar.

Jokbal is a dish made of pig’s feet boiled with herbal medicine ingredients such as cinnamon bark.
[info was from http://dynamic.busan.go.kr]

Random things in Busan

Trip to Busan for two nights before i took the JR Bettle Ferry to Fukuoka...
Found some strange things I saw for the first time.
A Samsung phone that was analogue!
Its ancient, but it still works

Crazy dog clothes...Something we don't find here in Australia.
I also noticed a dog cafe.  You are allowed to bring your dog into the cafe.

Below was one of those recycling men. You always see these people in Korean dramas.  They go around collecting recyclable items to get money.
Its a dying job/art.

Korean Burger and KTX 2 Busan

I was bored so i decided to get a burger for Lotteria. Similar to Australia Hungry Jacks. I ordered something strange. A bulgogi burger.

It was not to my taste...And french fries were really dry lol

On the Korean KTX. Similar to the Japan Shinkansen.
Me n my bad ass bags...about 30kg worth including camera gears.
We just arrived Busan station

Yeouido -> Yeouido - Ferry

Playing with one small boy on the boat... He was 6 years old (korean age haha)

Over view of 63 building....Tallest building in Korea

Last Lunch in Seoul - Mussels

One was spicy mussels one was fresh boiled mussels
Really tasty! The mussels weren't the most fresh. But got to love the fresh and spicy soups

EJ on the phone again..lol
Busy girl

Gimbap and Mandu 4 Breakfast

Korean style Sushi. But it is different! They use sesame oil and salts rather than the Japanese rice vinegar and sugar :)
The mandu was really really good...They are steamed/boiled dumplings with different fillings.
The gimbap/kimbap we had was kimchi flavor and tuna. Tuna was great! Kimchi so so...

<<< Mandu! and you have dipping sauce as well
I have tried kimchi filled ones before really good!
You can get instant frozen versions also
Similar to Japan Gyoza

Kimbap rolls ^_^ and miso soup
Little different taste to the miso i have tried in Perth

Ajuma rolling many many kimbap.
I think the meal was $7AUD
Really cheap...OMG
