KL Walkabout

Walking the streets of KL kills...Never sweated so much in my life! But its fun. Plenty of food, lots of hustle and bustle. Checked out the twin towers (Petronas).

Bit of wiki on Petronas: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petronas_Towers
The Petronas Towers (also known as the Petronas Twin Towers) are skyscrapers and twin towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the CTBUH's official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until surpassed by Taipei 101, but remain the tallest twin buildings in the world.[5] The building is the landmark of Kuala Lumpur with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.

taking the subway to mid valley shopping centre!
Doing it local style

Mid valley acrobatics and dinner from Mama Quans with Serena (can't believe didn't take any photos with her @_@)

Testing out my brand new fisheye!!!
LOVE IT, 15-55 can't cut it ;)

My tandoori chicken. This place is run i believe by Malaysian/Indian people. They are open all the time and it runs like a food court. But you just sit and order and the waiter will go to one of the multiple kitchens to get your food.

KL - Time Square

Time Square in Bukit Bintang.  Massive shopping centre over 7 stories with its own indoor roller coaster, bowling ring and cinema.  But if you want to watch movies go to Pavillion Gold Class!!!! $2 beers :D
In Time Square is the Nikon shop where you can try any lens :D I tested out the 10.5 2.8 Fisheye which I was purchasing in KL.

Indoor theme park!

Also tried some tortoise Jelly with Serena a local in KL that i met in Perth.
We had lunch in Time Square. Plenty of restaurants.

Pop my cherry - KL Feb 2010

The start of my 2010 Chinese New Year trip :)
It was a rather jumbled up trip flying from Perth to KL (stayed in KL for two nights), then to Taiwan for about 10 days and then to Singapore for 2 nights before I came back to Perth.

Wedding Photoz P1 - KL Wedding

Couple photos of the hall for the female side of the wedding.

Back to KL for the Wedding :)

After almost 3 weeks covering Japan and Korea I am back in KL for my good friends wedding.  The reason for my adventure to Korea and Japan. Super cheap tickets via KL :)
Steph a friend has also came for the wedding and a big ass shopping trip! Chicken rice for lunch as usual, and teh tarik!

Some Old Korea Photos - Dinner 4 a King

For my last day in Korea I decided to try traditional King’s food.  It is an arsenal of small dishes.  Actually I wasn't too impressed :( not as rich in flavour as street food and really expensive. But its ok, I tried it :)
Next time I can eat a similar cuisine for 1/4 of the price.  I believe it was 60,000W per person at this traditional old restaurant.

My fav bit! a sweet traditional soup for desert.

Last time i saw my big noona (Korean Elder Sister, i know for 6 or 7 years!)

More home cooked food and I believe that man was a Sumo.
When I went to Japan there was a lot of conflicts in the Sumo World.
To do with pay disputes.
